Louise J. Carnicom, 87, formerly of Helena and most recently of Gibsonburg, died Monday morning, December 26, 2011 at Valley View Health Care Center, Fremont. She was born on June 4, 1924 in Fremont to the now deceased Albert & Grace (Bradford) Miller. In 1942, Louise graduated from Gibsonburg High School. On Aug. 18, 1946, she married Calvin "Lee" Carnicom at St James Lutheran Church in Bradner. Louise was a book keeper for Helena Lumber & Supply for 55 years until her retirement in 2009. Louise loved bowling. She was a member of the Helena Community Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg. Surviving are children, Allan Lee (Lois) Carnicom of Indianapolis, IN and John Carnicom of Gibsonburg; brother, Jack Miller of Bradner, and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Kennard, Lamar, Haldon, Doris Harris and Lois Thompson. Funeral services will be noon on Saturday, December 31, at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where friends and family will be received beginning Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Rev. Melanie Haack will officiate. Burial will follow at Metzger Cemetery, Helena. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
