Fremont resident, Harold Rhoads, 66, died at Memorial Hospital ER on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Harold was born on January 24, 1946 in Hillsboro, OH, a son of Richard and Ella (Miller) Rhoads. On May 29, 1981 he married Margaret George in Fremont. She survives. He worked as a laborer at Kelsey Hayes and previously at the former Tony's Bakery. Harold loved spoiling his grandchildren, racing at the Fremont Speedway and wrenching on cars. He was also a former member of the Fremont Moose Lodge. He is also survived by children John (Cheryl Pitts) of Mentone, IN, Joseph (Linda Tillberry) and Sandra (Michael) Williams all of Silver Lake, IN, Jeffery (Jen Nation) of Monroe, MI and Kathleen (William) Craig of Paulding, OH; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brothers Richie (Cathy) Fredrico of Cheffield Lake, OH and Gary Fredrico of Fremont. Harold is preceded in death by his parents and an infant twin brother. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont on Thursday, February 16, from 6-8 p.m. There will be a special time of remembrance beginning at 8. Contributions in his memory may be made to the care of his family.
