Ruth Anne Lombardo

Ruth Anne Lombardo, 90, of Oldsmar, Florida passed away February 21, 2012 at St Joseph's Hospital in Florida. Ruth was a daughter to Charles and Mary (Watts) Smith. She graduated from Gibsonburg High School and was a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. She worked at Fremont Memorial Hospital and was married to Allen Palmer. He passed in 1967. In 1969, Ruth moved to Florida. Once relocated, she worked for many years as Chief Admissions Officer for Tampa General Hospital and married Frank Lombardo. He passed in 1988. Ruth is survived by her loving family; children, Judy (Gerald) Recktenwald of Florida, Jane (Ben ) McClure of California, John (Nuala) Palmer of Clearwater, FL, and Jack (Monya) Palmer of Evans, GA; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 9 great- great grandchildren; two sisters, Rhea Keating and Patricia Picciuto both of Fremont. Visitation will be on Friday, March 2, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Rev. Ted Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
