Mary A. Clark, 98, passed away at Otterbein Portage Valley on April 13, 2012. She was born on August 12, 1913 in Wood County to John W. & Julia (Haeuber) Hoodlebrink and they preceded her in death. Mary was a 1932 Gibsonburg High School graduate. On September 18, 1937 she married Edgar Clark at First English Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg, and he preceded her in death in 1994. Mary was a devoted homemaker. She lived most of her life on the family homestead. Mary enjoyed being active in the church, traveling and playing cards. Surviving are sons, Paul (Dorothy) Clark of Helena and James L. (Phyllis) Clark of Woodville; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a niece and a nephew. She is preceded in death by her children James A. Clark and Joyce Alexander; 1 grandchild, 1 great-grandchild and brother Howard Hoodlebrink. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg where her body will lie in state 1 hour prior to services. Pastor Blair Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Pemberville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
