Ruth Ann "Boots" Bowser, 80 of Gibsonburg passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at her home. She was born on October 8, 1931 in Gibsonburg to Mearl & Ruth (Reineck) Richard. Boots was a 1949 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and on January 2, 1953 she married Norman Bowser and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2001. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, the Fremont Moose Lodge and Eagles. Boots was a homemaker and also worked for Rossford Ordinance as a secretary and also for the Post Office as a clerk for over 20 years retiring in 1991. She is survived by her children; Rick Bowser of FL, Susan (Carl) Brinker of Luckey, John (Darlene) Bowser of Port Clinton and Steven (Vicki) Bowser of Gibsonburg. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister; Mary K. (Tom) Mehlow of Oak Harbor, along with her cousin Eileen Smith of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother; Robert Franklin Richard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Michael's Church at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church Youth Program in her memory.
