Vivan E. "Bud" Aleshire, 84, of Gibsonburg died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Born in Oakwood, Ohio on December 23, 1927, he was a son of Edgar and Chloe Mae (Finnegan) Aleshire. On October 20, 1956 he married Ruth M. Kutzli at the First English Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg. Ruth passed on June 14, 1996. Bud worked as a cement truck driver and mechanic for Gottron Brothers' Quarry, Fremont. In his younger years he was a horse groomsman and trainer. He belonged to the Gibsonburg Saddle Club since its beginnings. Bud also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting raccoons and fishing. He is survived by foster sisters, Sally (Bill) Steinbauer and Grace (Ron) Kimmet all of Gibsonburg, many in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends and visitors Ali Gilson, Lexi Arndt and Ashley Warren. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and brother E. Ray Aleshire. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where services will be conducted Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. Rev. Blair Miller will officiate. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg or to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg.
