Dorothy M. Naylor, 86 of Fremont, died on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Bellevue Hospital. She was born on September 11, 1925 in Lafayette, IN to Abe and Lena May (Rhoda) Hainje. Dorothy attended Jefferson High School in Lafayette, IN. She was married to "Jack" C. Naylor for over 51 years and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2006. Dorothy worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for Emerson Electric and also a library clerk at Purdue University. She loved to make crafts, square dancing with Buttons and Bows Square Dancing Club, playing cards, gardening and being around her family and her grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church and the Golden Threads. Surviving is her daughter Gwen (Robert) Nitschke of Clyde; sister, Phyllis (Don) McKinley of Lafayette, IN; several nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jackie Fulk, granddaughter Jennifer Fulk; siblings, Kenneth Hainje, John Hainje and Lena Mitchell. Visitation will be on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, KY. Memorials may be made to Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Dorothy's memory.
