Ruth E. Zucker

Ruth E. Zucker, 93, of Fremont passed away at Elmwood at the Springs on May 20, 2012. She was born on May 29, 1918 in Fremont to Jessie & Mary (Bowlus) Snow. Ruth married Harold Zucker on August 4, 1936 in Tiffin. She was a member of Grace Community Church. Ruth will be remembered as a lover of animals who enjoyed quilting and crocheting, and a lady that was always up for a chat. Surviving are children, Sharon Otermat of Whitehouse, Karen Guernsey of Whitehouse and Jeff Zucker of Fremont; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; siblings, Ethel Fowler and Charles Mortimer Snow, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont where funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Grace Community Church or to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the caregivers and staff at Elmwood at the Springs (St. Francis Health Care Center) for their outstanding care.
