Lorene Anna Schwochow, 81 of Fremont passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1931 in Gibsonburg, OH to August F. and Caroline (Schade) Beeker. Lorene was a 1949 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On August 9, 1952 she married LeRoy Schwochow at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fremont and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2004. Lorene was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday school and helping with funeral luncheons. She was a member of the Charity Circle at church and was a past president of the Altar Guild. She was a 4H advisor for the Happy Clovers Club for 25 years. Lorene could be found playing piano every other weekend at the Kingsway Hall for a number of years. She enjoyed being on a bowling league, a dart ball league, in a card club, gardening, being a member of the Never Dull Farm Council and the Farm Bureau. Surviving are children, Charles, Carl (Karen) and Chris (Deneen) all of Fremont; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Tony Schwochow and siblings, Walter Beeker, Howard Beeker and her twin sister, Florene and an infant sister, Florence. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 with Pastor Joseph Lees officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or a charity of the donor's choice in Lorene's memory.
