Thelma Faye (Schlea) Taulker, 83, died peacefully at her Gibsonburg home surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 30, 2012. She was born on Aug. 3, 1928 in Hessville to Edwin C. & Viola M. (VanNess) Schlea. Thelma was a 1946 Gibsonburg High School graduate and she worked for Gibsonburg schools as a secretary for 25 years retiring in 1986. Thelma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Women of the ELCA. She is survived by her loving & devoted husband, of 63 years, Robert F. Taulker, whom she married on Nov. 20, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg. Thelma was a caring mother who adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Steven (Pam) Taulker, Kay Taulker and Terri (Tom Geisbuhler) Ahle all of Gibsonburg; grandchildren Resa (Chris) Hastings, Stacey (Rob) Hoy, Marcus (Sammi) Ahle, Jenny (Brian) McCord and Sarah (Todd) Haydock; great-grandchildren, Noah Hastings, Brynna Hastings, Tyson Haydock and Brynlee McCord; and siblings, Robert Schlea of Oldmsted Falls, OH, Marvin Schlea of Fremont and Donald Schlea of Gibsonburg. Visitation will be on Monday, July 2, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
