Lloyd Wammes

Lloyd Wammes, 89, formerly of Sandusky, OH, died late Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Elmwood at the Springs, in Green Springs. He was born on August 8, 1922, to Frank and Christine (Rosenberger) Wammes in Lindsey, OH. Lloyd graduated from Fremont Ross High School and later served in the Navy. He worked as a laborer at Fleshfold Carton Inc. in Sandusky and for Meijer prior to his illness. He married Jean Scheld on May 19, 1951 and she preceded him in death on September 30, 1988. Lloyd is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Ida Overmeier, Lucille Gonya, Hilda Penn, Esther Wagner, Frank Wammes, Olive Miller, and Helen St. John. Memorial services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements were entrusted to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
