Gibsonburg resident, Phyllis Ahle, 81 died peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Tiro, OH to Jacob James and Garnett Esther (Blaising) Cole. Phyllis was a 1949 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On December 5, 1952 she married Donald Ahle in Woodville, OH and he survives. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Phyllis enjoyed knitting and spending winters in Ft. Myers, Florida at their 2nd home for 26 years. Surviving are children: Alan (Barb) Ahle, Jan (Don) Kirwen, Pat (Jeff) Balsizer all of Gibsonburg and Linda (Ron) Moenter of Woodville; 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Donna) Cole of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Esther Shull. Visitation will be on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Betty Wineland officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
