Vivian L. Hummel

Vivian L. Hummel 86 of Fremont passed away early Sunday, August 05, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1926 in Perry, OH to Harry & Mabel (Piper) Shaw, SR. Vivian attended Jackson-Burgoon schools and on April 30, 1943 she married Ray K. Hummel in Fostoria. She was a housewife and was very active at the Senior Center, loved to play bingo, cards, put together puzzles and spend time with her family. Vivian is survived by her children; Ray (Cinda) Hummel of Gibsonburg, Lucille Johnson, Roberta (Ed) Artz and Cheryl (Jim) Bunting all of Fremont. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings; Ethel Smith of Fostoria, Harold Shaw of FL, Mina Bassett of Houghton Lake, MI, Harley Shaw and Harry N. Shaw, Jr. both of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray K. Hummel on July 8, 1993, children; Shirley L. Severs and Harry L. Hummel, siblings; Lester & Herbert Shaw, Jeanie Dillion, Nanoi Scoville and Lucille Giles. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the funeral home at 10:30AM. Pastor Gary Click will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Center in Vivian's memory.
