Kathy L. Ackerman

Kathy L. (Baumer) Ackerman, 63 of Fremont, died early Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her home. A positive attitude helped Kathy & her family to have courage through her long illness. She was born on January 24, 1949 in Fremont to Norman and Virginia (Hull) Baumer. Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On January 20, 1968 she married David Ackerman at the First Brethren Church, Fremont and he survives. Kathy worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Daniel Kelderhouse for many years, retiring a few months ago. She was a member of the Fremont Moose, enjoyed horseback riding, working in her flower beds and being her grandchildren's biggest fan. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her daughters: Dawn (Todd) Williams and Renee (Brian) Schultz both of Fremont; grandchildren: Trent and Tate Williams, Taylor, Meagan and Emma Schultz; siblings, Janice (Bud) Weaver, Marlene (Don) Burgess both of Fremont, Susie Buhrow of Oak Harbor and Joe (Helen) Baumer of Kansas City, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, John Limestahl. Per Kathy's request a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Contributions in Kathy's memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
