Lifelong Gibsonburg resident, Brian Keith Conrad, 54 died Friday, September 7, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Hospital in Toledo. Born in Fremont to Glenn Alvin and Berniece Marie (Pope) Conrad, Brian graduated in 1975 from Gibsonburg High School and received a football scholarship to the University of Findlay, where he attended for one year. Earlier this year, Brian celebrated 35 years of employment at Green Bay Packaging in Fremont. A lover of nature and the outdoors, he felt tied to and part of the land, living his entire life in the home and on the farm to which he had been born. Brian is survived by his mother of Gibsonburg; brother Dennis (Deneise) Conrad of San Antonio, TX; nephew Neil; niece Emily; special companion Julie Goodman; many cousins and family members, and good friends and co-workers. A celebration of his life will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 200 E. Madison Street, Gibsonburg on Thursday, September 13, 4:30 p.m. Rev. Max Ulderich will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brian's memory may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or to the Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Dept.
