Robert L. Biddinger, 67, of Fremont, died early Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on July 18, 1945 in Lorain, OH to LaRue and Eleanora (Tolhurst) Biddinger. Robert was a graduate of Firelands High School and Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor Degree in education. He served in the US Navy on the USS Vega during the Vietnam War. Robert was a teacher at Lorain Community for a year then taught at Terra State Community College until his retirement in 2010. On July 8, 1976 he married Helen Loucks and she survives. Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church the NRA, VFW and the Sandusky County Sportsman's Club. Robert volunteered at Fremont Community Theatre, and was an AVID reader, and enjoyed woodworking, playing drums and gardening. Surviving in addition to his wife, is his son, Chris Biddinger of Fremont. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Services will be held on 10:30 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Certified Celebrant Maureen Pump officiating. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion and VFW posts following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, OH beginning at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Kidney Foundation or to Birchard Public Library in Robert's memory.
