Rural Helena resident, Marjorie R. Schoendorf, 92 died at home Friday morning, November 9, 2012. Marge was born in Toledo on May 13, 1920 to the now deceased Joseph and Laura (Sanford) Meyer. She married James C. Schoendorf in Falmouth, KY on August 31, 1936. James preceded her in death on August 29, 1999. Marjorie worked as a homemaker and as an assembler for over 18 years at RCA in Findlay, retiring in 1977. She enjoyed making pottery and ceramics, knitting, reading and watching Lawrence Welk. Marge was devoted to her family and God, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Millersville and its Holy Rosary Society. Surviving are her children Joyce Blocker of Lima, Kathleen (Bart) Ruggiero of South Bend, IN, Michael (Carol) of Harrison Twp, MI, John (Katie) of Helena, and Charles "Woody" of Cygnet; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; and half brother Harold P. Schoendorf of Wayne. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Joseph Albert Meyer, a grandson and a great grandson. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 9-11 a.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where funeral services will begin at 11:00. Rev. Ted Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Millersville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
