Christ Laubacher, Jr.

Christ "Junior" Laubacher, Jr. 86 of Port Clinton passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Edgewood Nursing Home, Port Clinton. He was born on September 21, 1926 in Fremont to Christ & Luella (Genzman) Laubacher. Junior served in the US Army from1944- 1946 attended Rocky Ridge School and on February 3, 1951 he married Catherine Cooley. Junior worked for Aeroquip as a laborer retiring in 1991 and enjoyed traveling, watching movies, fishing, bowling, playing euchre and pinnacle. He also played dart ball many years ago and was a former member of the VFW, Oak Harbor Surviving are his children; Christine (Paul) Harris of Honaker ,VA, Gail (Earl) Smith of Tomahawk, WI, Dorothea (Charles) Nason of Port Clinton, Karen Hall of Fremont, Douglas (Paula) Laubacher of Fremont, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren along with his sister; Faye Lochotzki of Oak Harbor, his sister-in-laws; Joyce & Violet Laubacher both of Oak Harbor and his two special god children. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Catherine, brothers; Roger, Oliver and Carol. Also preceded him in death are his sisters; Rhea Harder, Mary Krieger, and Delorse Behlmer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-4PM & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Grace Baptist Church, Port Clinton at 11 AM with an additional one hour of visitation prior to the services, with Pastor Peter Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde with military rites preformed by the American Legion & VFW. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or to Grace Baptist Church, Port Clinton in Junior's memory.
