Kenneth "Kenny" E. Smith, 78 of Tiffin passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on May 31, 1934 in Bradner, OH to Richard & Mae (Morgan) Smith. Kenny attended Jackson-Burgoon Schools and on June 12, 1955 he married Dorothy Aldrich in Helena and she preceded him in death in 2005. Kenny was a truck driver for Basic in Bettsville for 36 years retiring in 1986, along with a Volunteer Fireman for the Kansas Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. He also was an avid bowler enjoyed fishing and the Basic Quarter Century Club. Surviving are his children; Charles Smith of Tiffin, Mark (Barb) Smith of Lindsey, and Todd & Tim Smith both of Tiffin, grandchildren; Mark (Dawn) Smith, Jr. of Fremont and Cheryl (Tony) Brake of Gibsonburg, his great-grandchildren; Jacob, Jordan, Shyann, Elijah, Alexis, Savannah, Ryan and Reggie. He is also survived by his siblings; Tom (Kathy) Smith of Fremont, Richard Smith of Woodville, Delores Smith of Clyde and Carol (Al) Bouldin of Helena. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, children; Leslie & Keith Smith, siblings; Rosemary Smith, Joyce Holcomb, Neil, James & Ben Smith. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Vickey officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Smith Family or to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Hospice Center in Kenny's memory.
