Wilma L. Widman, 87 of Fremont passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Valley View Nursing Home. Wilma and twin brother Willis were born in Gibsonburg on June 8, 1925 to Clarence and Mada (Taulker) Avers. Wilma attended Lindsey School and graduated from Ross High School in 1943. She married Norman Widman on April 8, 1947 at St. Joseph Church in Fremont. Wilma lived her life on the family farm helping her husband with the dairy herd and working on her garden for her large family. After her children were in school she went to work for Snyder Binau Insurance for 26 years. Wilma was also active in the church as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Casimir's Church, former president of The Mothers of Twins Club and a member of the Farm Bureau Card Council. Wilma is survived by her daughters; Linda Burkett and Mary (Greg) Kuns, both of Fremont, Catherine (Frank) Gay of Twinsburg, Ohio, sons; Norman (Sally) of Fairfax, Virginia, Allen of Fremont, Joseph (Martha) of Monclova, Ohio, and Chris (Pam) of Davidson, North Carolina. She is also survived by a sister Esther Seibert of Fremont and a brother Leroy Avers from the Villages in Florida, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Arnold and Willis; son, Jon; son in law, Rodney Burkett and grandchildren Andrew Widman and Nic Codispodi. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, February 11 at St. Joseph's Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Wilma's memory may be made to St Joseph Church or to a charity of the donor's choice .
