Sharon Ann Kinkaid, 84 of Fremont, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1929 in Fayette, Ohio to Gerald "Bud" and Geneva (Shambarger) Whaley. Sharon graduated from Fayette High School in 1947 and married John S. Kinkaid on August 13, 1950 at Grace Lutheran Church in Toledo. Sharon loved her family and her home, her dog Joey, and was active in Jazzercise for 26 years. She was a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Clinton Radio & TV in Port Clinton. Sharon was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont. In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her daughter, Dessie (Michael) Morehart and daughter-in-law, Pam Kinkaid, both of Fremont; grandsons John Ryan (Jessica) Kinkaid of Elmore and Tyler Joseph Kinkaid of Fremont; great granddaughters Madillyn and Mariska Kinkaid of Elmore and sister-in-law, Sue Whaley of Wauseon, Ohio. Sharon was preceded in death by her son John L. Kinkaid on October 4, 2002; her two brothers, James and Robert Whaley and a niece. Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4- 8 pm at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont. Services for Sharon will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with an hour visitation prior to services. Certified Celebrant Maureen Pump will be officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Fayette Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sharon's memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont or the Sandusky County Humane Society.
