Teresa Clinger, 85, of Burgoon, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 5, 1927 in Martindale, TX to Amado and Esperanza (Acosta) Garcia. On September 4, 1961 she married Alfred Clinger at St. James Catholic Church in Kansas, OH and he survives. Teresa was a homemaker and an interpreter for the Health Department, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and former member of the St. James Altar Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. Also surviving are children: Annette Clinger of Bettsville, Alfreda (Jon) Hegemier of Pemberville and Angela (Robert) Molnar of Grand Blanc, MI; grandchildren, Katherine, Christine and Jon-Michael Hegemier, Marie, Robert and David Molnar; siblings: Micaela Garcia, Mercedes Hernandez, Delores Tolento, Joseph Garcia, Angela Ramirez, Manuel Garcia, Augustine Garcia and Amado Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Susie Reyna and brother Pedro Garcia. Visitation will be on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont where a rosary will be said that evening. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic North Coast Cancer Center in Sandusky, Dr. Sukamal Saha and the staff of McClaren Hospital in Flint, MI. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Sacred Heart Church.
