Robert E. Pletcher, 68, of Fostoria died Tuesday evening, February 26, 2013 at the Windsor Lane Health Care Center in Gibsonburg. Born in Clarington, Ohio on October 26, 1944, Bob was the youngest of three children of James Bond and Alice (Thomas) Pletcher. He graduated from River High School in Hannibal, Ohio in 1962 and attended courses at The Ohio State University. He served in the Air Force, being stationed in the States during the Vietnam Era. Later, Bob labored as a chemical worker at the former BOC Gases in Fostoria. He retired after having over 30 years in. Robert was a member of the Fostoria Post of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to read and work crossword puzzles. On January 14, 1967, he married Rose Marie Dobson in Michigan. Rose survives. Also surviving are children, Tammy S. (John) Bates of Findlay, Jason Pletcher of Summerville, SC and Tawnya Pletcher of Fostoria; grandchildren Jordan Nold and Michela, Mackenzie and Jayce Pletcher; and sisters Olive "Sue" (Merle) Sundheimer. And Judy (Bob Hewett ) Eisenberger all of Twinsburg, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Services will be private.
