Gale Henning

Gale "Buck" "Ace" Edwin Henning, 73, of Fremont, died on March 4, 2013 at home. He was born on August 7, 1939, in Fremont to Oscar and Florence (Leggitt) Henning. Gale attended Fremont City Schools, and worked as a Tow Motor Driver for Basic Refactories in Bettsville. He retired on 1978.On December 10, 1961 he married Joyce Michael in Fremont, and they later divorced. He enjoyed his mornings having coffee with his buddies at Frisch's, cooking out, working on cars, and had a love for animals and his family. Gale is survived by his children, June (Alan) Ball of Fremont, and Jodi (Bret) Binder of Gibsonburg; grandchildren , Amanda and Charles Woolard, Richard Bundschuh, Brock (Jessica) Schneider, and Wesley and Jordan Jeanette; 5 great-grandchildren; and his special companion of 20 years, Joy Lewis, whose family he loved as his own. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Henning, and grand-daughter, Heather Jeanette in 1996. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 3:00pm at Salem United Methodist Church, 106 Michaels Street, in Bettsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the MS Society or to the family.
