Robert "Bob" Myers, 75, formerly of Helena, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. He was born on December 22, 1937 in Toledo to Edgar and Margaret (Holcomb) Myers. Bob graduated from Gibsonburg High School where he excelled in sports. He lettered in Basketball, Baseball and Football. He was All American in football his senior year and received a full scholarship from Texas A&M. He attended Findlay College. Later, Bob worked as a car salesman for the Ford Dealership in Gibsonburg and a maintenance worker at the Whippy Dip in Woodville, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching sports and had interests in politics. He was very close to his grandmother, Emma (Wertz) Holcomb, prior to her death. Bob was an animal lover, especially dogs, those that visited him in the nursing facilities and was also a member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Helena. Surviving is a niece, Laura (Steve) Watkins Castle and their children Alex and Emma all of Philomath, OR. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Myers Castle. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Metzgar Cemetery with Rev. Glen Herman officiating.
