Linda L. Gentry, 53 of Fremont, passed away at Cleveland Clinic on March 29, 2013 surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on November 13, 1959 in Fremont to Clyde and Carol (Perry) Walters. Linda was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Vanguard Vocational Center. On April 15, 1978 she married Wm. Scott Gentry. They were married for 17 years and raised 4 children together. Linda received her Real Estate license in 1996. Most recently she worked as a real estate agent for Baker Bonnigson Realty & Auctioneer Service. Previously she had worked as a professional cake decorator, and as a bus driver for Gibsonburg Schools. Linda was also an entrepreneur, owning two businesses - Linda's Nearly New Western Shop and Wagon Wheel Antiques & Collectibles. Linda enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She liked watching her children show horses, camping at the fair, and attending events with her grandchildren as they were very special to her. She also enjoyed baking, and is fondly remembered for her mini cupcakes at holidays and other special events. She will be most remembered for her willingness to help others and for her kind and caring nature. Surviving are her children: Brian (Traci) Gentry of Woodville, Sara (Chad) Shively of Gibsonburg, Jennifer (Adam) Gyde of Oak Harbor and Rachel Walters of Fremont; three grandchildren, Trinity England, Garrett and Laine Shively; mother, Carol Walters; siblings, Debra (Tim) Zimmerman of Fremont, Mark (Diane) Walters of Elmore and David (Katie) Walters of Gibsonburg; many special nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father Clyde Walters, grandmother Ruby Walters, and grandparents Estella and Dallas Perry. Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Bill Blue will officiate. Memorials in Linda's memory may be made to the family, or to Sandusky County 4-H Horse Council or Vanguard DECA Scholarship Fund.
