Irene E. (Buehler) Coy Hetrick, born March 17, 1921 the youngest of 9 children of John & Jenny (Gahn) Buehler passed away April 30, 2013 at Bethany Place, her home for the last 8 years. She married Merrill Coy in 1939 (died 1983) and Clare Hetrick in 1989 (died 1999). Irene and Merrill had the Happy Valley Gang Orchestra after he returned from WWII until the early 1950's and a weekly radio show of Country and Gospel music on WFRO. Irene was the bookkeeper for Coy's Auto Clinic, farmed, worked at the Troy Model Laundry and retired from J.C. Penney in 1983 after 15 years. Fishing, gardening, music and crafts were her pleasures. She was also an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Donna) Wingert of Lindsey; granddaughters, Dawn (Dan) Watt of Port Clinton and Jody Wingert of Maumee; former son-in-law, Ralph (Candace) Wingert of Fostoria and a son, Roger, who may also survive; step-children, C. Dean (Kay) Hetrick of Perrysburg and Sheila Bolen. She is preceded in death by husbands, siblings, Luella Holtsberry, Hilda Bowers, Martha Buehler, Harold, Lawrence, Gilbert, Richard and Walter Buehler. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont Friday from 3-7 p.m. with service immediately after the visitation at 7 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Back to the Wild Animal Rehabilitation or to St. John's Lutheran Church, 212 N Clover St., Fremont, Ohio 43420.
