Chester Estep, 87, of Lindsey, passed away early on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1925 in Ashland, KY to Henry and Ida Mae (Scarbury) Estep. Chester was a Naval Fireman serving during WWII based in the Pacific. He was a diesel mechanic for several places including Smiley Tire, Craun and Sentinel Trucking Companies, retiring in 1985. Chester was a former member of the United Baptist Church in Carey, OH and currently was attending the Church of Christ in Fremont. He raised cattle, enjoyed attending auctions and farming. Surviving are his sons, John of Lindsey and Chester Jr. of Fremont; stepchildren, Jan W. (Julia) Albert, Cecelia A. Albert all of Fremont and Laura L. Albert of Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dorothy M. Kelly Hunter, second wife, Joyce G. Estep and brothers, Arthur, Don and Enick. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont, OH where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial with military rites by the VFW American Legion Post will be at Lindsey Cemetery. Memorials in Chester's name may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital
