Stella P. Silva, 82 of Fremont, one of the most giving and caring ladies that the Lord has given, who now is watching over us and serving the Lord in heaven, entered His kingdom on May 29, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 24, 1931 in Saginaw, MI to Jose and Virginia (Macias) Perez and she attended Liberty-Benton High School. On April 24, 1950 she married John Silva in Findlay and he survives. Stella was a homemaker and had worked at Quick-Cut Corporation for twenty years, retiring in 1989. Also surviving are children, Rebecca (Marvin) Wagner, Dan Silva and Dean (Donna) Silva all of Fremont, Phyllis Ramondino of Brooklyn, NY; siblings, Joseph Perez Jr. of Austin, TX, Rudy Losoya of San Diego, CA, Robert Perez of Hot Springs, AK, Lucia Roca of Chicago, IL and I. Rebekah Pariz of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Mary Rae (Joseph) Traudt, Dannielle Rae (Roman Ruppert) Silva, Nathan Joseph (Kasey Feehan)Wagner, Eric Allen Joseph Silva, Ellen Renee Kathryn Silva and Easton Michael Bernell Silva; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Antonio Ontiveros, Adrian Daniel Ontiveros, Katie Rae Traudt, Jack Evan Traudt, Ryan Joseph Traudt and Jade Kelly Kayser; cherished young family members, Brynn and Taylor Ruppert and Caedon Abalos; many nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Wagner; siblings, Maria Helena Close and Enedina Perez. Stella will be remembered as a wonderful cook, hard working, caring and loving lady, with strong devotion to the Lord, her family and friends. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she called all of them "her cookies". Stella's devotion to her family first started when she cared for her three younger sibings, Lucia, Rebekah and Robert after her mother passed away when she was 16 years of age and later adopted her niece Phyllis when her sister, Enedina passed away. Stella was a devoted Christian as she belonged to Victory Church and various prayer groups throughout her life. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A funeral service will be on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Victory Church with one hour of visitation at church prior to the service. Pastor Scott Robles will officiate. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Stella's name. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Memorial Hospital for their kindness.
