Ronald "Ronnie" W. Timmons, 73, of Kansas, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1940 in Fostoria, Ohio, the son of Homer and Mary (Johnson) Timmons. He attended Jackson Burgoon School and served in the Army National Guard. Ronnie married Janet L. Nowak on May 2, 1964, in Burgoon, Ohio. He was a lifelong farmer and part owner of Timmon's Equipment, West SR 6, Fremont. Ronnie was also a Monday night regular at the Lakota Young Farmers and enjoyed playing cards there and at family gatherings. He also enjoyed traveling out west in his RV and seeing our country. Most of all, Ronnie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who affectionately called him "PaPa". He brought a lot of wisdom and happiness into our lives. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janet, of Kansas, Ohio; daughters, Michele (Jeff) Park of Burgoon, Heather (Darin) Draeger of Lindsey; grandchildren, Alison (Austin) Davis, Ronnie and Katie Park, and Jared, Regan and Grace Draeger; sister, Wanda Striff; brothers, John (Elaine) and Steve (Carol) Timmons, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A time of sharing and celebrating Ronnie's life will be offered at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Volunteer Fire Department, Burgoon United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
