Ronald A. LeMaitre, 69 of Fremont, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 26, 1944 in Fremont to Donald and Eleanor (Jarvis) LeMaitre. Ron served in the Army during the Vietnam War and suffered the consequences and complications of exposure to Agent Orange. On April 28, 1978 he married Debra Druyor at the Spiegel Grove and she survives. He attended Grace Community Church. Ron was an extreme classic car person, he owned and maintained the Vintage Sinclair station at the corner of Buckland and Siler St. in Fremont. He was the president of OFCC that met every Tuesday and Thursday at the Sinclair station to solve the world's problems. His wishes were for meetings to go on as long as possible. Ron found that classic car activities created a special bond between himself, his children and everyone around him. He was admired by all for his wonderful grand-parenting skills. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children: Bobby (Mary) of Fremont, Shawn (Jennelle "Jay") and Michelle (Rick) Simon both of Florida; stepchildren, Dennis (Tina) Fastzkie of Texas and Denna (Ed) Ostrander of NY; grandchildren, Nicole, Alicia, Jessica, Elizabeth, Bree, Lindsay, Alexandria, Robert, Elizabeth and Morgan; four great-grandchildren; his mother of Fremont and a brother, Gary (Sue) LeMaitre of Fremont. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Robert Carl "Baby Bobbie" LeMaitre. Visitation will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont from 5pm - 7pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00am with a visitation beginning at 10:00am with Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating. The VFW will also hold a service following the memorial service in the parking lot of the funeral home. The family requests that friends bring their classic cars to the funeral home and park in the front parking lot. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
