Harvey O. Bloom, 71, of Carey formerly of Fremont and Gibsonburg, passed away at his home on Monday, August 5, 2013. He was born in Genoa on January 15, 1942 to Emery and Bertha (Crawford) Bloom. He graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1960 and then went on to work for Atlas Industry in Gibsonburg for 38 years. Harvey married Virginia Aldrich in June 1963, then married Rae Christine Wisniewski Frederick on February, 7, 1985 and she passed away on March 13, 1997. Harvey then married Dianne Row Baker McKinnon on February 27, 1999 and she survives in Carey. Harvey was a member of the Fremont Moose, enjoyed camping, riding his Harley and woodworking. Also surviving are; daughters, Gale (Craig) Widmer&Tammy (Bryan) Shammo both of Gibsonburg; son, David (Sheila) Bloom of Findlay; stepchildren, Johnathon (Geannine) Baker of Seattle, WA and Duane Baker of KY, Kelly Stahl of KS, Donald (Courtney) Frederick, Jr. of Fremont, 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is survived by siblings, Ruth (Denny) Mitchell of Niles, MI, Rosalia Davis of Gibsonburg, Vera (Dan) Gressman of Fremont, Deneice Bloom of Bowling Green, Ralph (Chris) Bloom of Fremont and Michael (Kauleen) Bloom of Risingsun. He is preceded in death by daughter, Colleen Marie Bloom and brothers, Basil and Jack E. Bloom. He is also survived by his first wife Virginia O'Laughlin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the funeral home at 11 AM with Pastor Glen Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorial contributions in Harvey's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
