Conceta "Jeff" Hoffman, 81, of Fremont passed away at her home, Thursday evening, September 26, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born in Gibsonburg on March 11, 1932 to the now deceased Sam and Maria (Reino) Ruggiero. She was a graduate of Gibsonburg High School in 1950. On May 15, 1954 she married her friend and sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Hoffman at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2012 after 58 years of marriage. She had great comfort knowing she was going to be with Dick again. Conceta was a bank teller at Croghan Colonial Bank and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending her grandchildren's events. Her other interests included cooking, boating, playing euchre, spending time at their cottage (DSP) & wintering in Naples, FL. Surviving are children, Maralyn McNally of Mt. Clemens, MI, Barb (Steve) Miller, Tom (Pegi) Hoffman, Matt (Wendy) Hoffman all of Fremont; grandchildren, Sarah (Jake) Rumble, Jessica & Reba McNally, Adam (Rachel) Miller, Carrie (Rob) Golden, Bethany & Kathryn Miller, Emalee (Daniel) Pedroza, Alex, Chris & Nick Hoffman and Haley Hoffman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Tori, Emma and Will Miller, Drew Golden and Jake Rumble, Jr.; siblings, Susie Rusher of Gibsonburg, Mary (John) Benner of Fremont and Anthony (Ruthann) Ruggiero of Fremont; and sisters-in-law, Joanne and Elaine Ruggiero. Conceta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Dominic, Carmin, Patsy, and Maria. Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m with a wake service held that evening. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Zacharias will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Conceta's memory may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, Sandusky County Positive People or to St. Bernardine Home.
