Marjorie A. Roepke of Lindsey, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. Marjorie was born on March 3, 1933 in Hessville to Earl R. Ethel (Lerch) Smith. She was a 1951 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On June 10, 1951 she married Vernon "Lefty" P. Roepke at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hessville by A.W. Lynn. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2012. Marjorie worked for two separate electrical contractors for many years; Fought Electric and G.E.M Construction. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hessville. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was recently given the special recognition as the "Resident of the Month" at Elmwood Assisted Living. Surviving is daughter Kathy (John) Spanfellner of Danville, siblings; Sandy (Robert) Reed of Lindsey and Diane (Carl) Schuh of Woodville, Lyle (Connie) Smith of Fremont and Kenneth (Carolyn) Smith of Fremont. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Donald Smith, Earl Smith Jr., Pauline Conklin, Keith Smith, Larry Smith and Gary Smith. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 4pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hessville beginning at 11:00 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Dennis Wansitler will officiate. Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the James Cancer Research Hospital in Memory of Vernon & Marjorie Roepke # 302871, 660 Ackerman Rd., P.O.
