Larry "Joe" Stanley, 71 of Fremont, passed away on May 9, 2014 at his home. Larry was born on May 1, 1943 to James "Arthur" and Augusta (Terry) Stanley in Lackey, KY. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1961. Larry worked at GE in Bellevue for several years then for Whirlpool, Clyde, for over 28 years where he retired in August 2004 as a Quality Inspector. He married Thelma Flores on September 24, 1983 at St. Joseph's Church in Fremont. Larry was a hunter and fisherman, loved playing bluegrass and country music on either his banjo or guitar, and was known for collecting stamps and coins. Surviving are his mother, Augusta of Bellevue; his wife, Thelma; children Aaron Stanley and Kenneth (Janice) Stanley of Clyde, Donna (Dave) Henkel and Ashley Stanley of Fremont; brother James "Adrian" (Marie) Stanley of Marietta, OH; grandchildren Holly (Steve) Pearson, Ryan and Kennedy Stanley, Noah and Nolan Henkel and his great-granddaughter; Ella Pearson. Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, 10:30 am at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont where family and friends will be welcome on Thursday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or The Sandusky County Park District. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
