Dennis F. Suter, 81, Fremont, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16, 2014. Denny was born on August 8, 1932 to Carrol and Corrinne (Burkett) Suter and graduated from Fremont Ross in 1950. On May 19, 1956, he married Patricia Greene in Sandusky, Ohio. She survives. Denny worked many years at Chemi-Trol, retiring in 1995 as the office manager. As an avid shooting enthusiast and member of the NRA, he was a regular competitor at the National Shooting Matches at Camp Perry where he received numerous medals. He also enjoyed archery. Together with his family, he raised and showed horses throughout the Tri-State area. Denny was a member of Lindsey Lions Club and an active member of the Fremont Alliance Church, serving as an elder and travelling on many of its mission trips. Most notably, Denny loved his family and took great pride and appreciation of his relationship with his grandchildren. Surviving him is his wife Patricia Suter; children Michael (Wendy) Suter of Fremont and Diane (Troy) Smith of Sylvania; daughter in law Brenda Suter of Norwalk; grandchildren Jason (Katie) Suter, Kristin (Josh) Distel, Sara (Mark) Adams, Steve and Stacey Smith, Eric and Heather Suter and David and Jon Suter; 7 great grandchildren; sister Diane (Dean) Wilhelm of Twinsburg, OH. Denny is preceded in death by his parents, son Tim Suter and infant daughter Cheryl Suter. Visitation will be held at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Fremont Alliance Church where visitation will begin at 9:30. Pastor Glenn Merrill and Denny's grandson, Jason Suter, will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fremont Alliance Church or to the Alternative Care Center, Sandusky.
