Harley V. Seem, 83, of Gibsonburg passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his home. He was born in Bowling Green on March 27, 1931 to Roy and Edna (Metzger) Seem. Harley was a 1949 Gibsonburg High School graduate. On May 26, 1951 he married his sweetheart Mary Jeanine Rabiteau. Harley worked as a supervisor at the Howard Zink Corporation. He loved having large cookouts and playing cards with his family and friends, and he also enjoyed spending time fishing and golfing. Surviving are children, Steve (Linda) Seem of Helena and Terry (Connie) Seem of Findlay; grandchildren, Machelle Sleek, Chad (Robin) Seem, Kristie (Lewis) Seem and Jeremy (Nicci) Seem; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lola (Bernie) Boehm of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; sisters, Helen Fausey, Joyce Wagoner and Gladys Blausey; and brothers, Paul and Robert Seem. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation. Burial will be held privately at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Millersville.
