Robert Calvin Hetrick, 90, of Fremont passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 5, 1923 to Perry and Ella (Stierwalt) Hetrick in Kingsway, OH. Robert attended Fremont Ross High School before going on to enlist into the Army Air Force during WWII. Robert was self-employed at RC Hetrick Heating & Supply retiring in 1985. Robert enjoyed to garden and was a backyard politician. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He married Wilma Leimbach on July 8, 1950 in Huron, and she precedes him in death. Robert is survived by children, Dale of Fremont, Douglas of Fremont, Dean (Penny) of Helena, Donna (Dave) Fate of Fremont, and David of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive. He is also preceded in death by his parents; step-father; Joe Puterbaugh [and siblings, Lucille Thompson, Helen Anstead, Sherman Hetrick, Franklin Hetrick, Beulah Edmonds, Margret Edmonds, LeRoy Hetrick, Ramona Bauders & Doris Faist. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 11-1PM with funeral services beginning at 1PM at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Avers will be officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to the MS Society in Roberts memory.
