Cory Barron, 22, of Fremont passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born on April 28, 1992 to Matthew and Karen (Slotto) Barron in Fremont. Cory graduated in 2010 from Fremont Ross High School and Bowling Green State University in 2014, studying communications with a focus on marketing. Cory was a Recruiter for Global Technical Recruiters, Sandusky. Cory's favorite times were spent with family and friends. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers along with the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed all types of music and watching movies. Cory is survived by both his parents; siblings, Britta Barron of Columbus and Clay Barron of Fremont; grandparents, Gene and Cleobelle Slotto of Clyde, Carrol Barron of Fremont, and Lois Barron of Elmore;; aunts and uncles, Mary Lynn (Todd) Michaels of Fremont, Mike (Maria) Slotto of Clyde, Cindy (John) Brindley of Fremont, Shawn (Pat) Barron of Upper Sandusky, and Lisa (Richard) Emch of Woodville; and cousins, Heidi (Matt) Anderson, Heather (Jason) Covert, Hilary (Josh) Churchill, Meghan Michaels, Devon Michaels, Erica (Mike) Baker, Jason Brindley, Casandra Emch. Kelly Barron, Deirdre Barron-Perez, and Laura (Brandon) Barnes. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 12-8pm with services on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:30am with Father Kenneth Lil officiating at Sacred Heart Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Autism Speaks in Cory's memory or to the Cory Barron Memorial Fund, in which the donations will be redistributed at a later date to charities of Cory's interest.
