Haldon "Pappy" Copsey, 72, of Kansas, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 28, 1941 to Ralph and Cleo (Zuern) Copsey in Kansas, OH. Haldon graduated from Jackson Burgoon in 1959. After high school, while farming, he worked at Atlas Crank Shaft in Fostoria for 30 and a half years, before retiring in 1996. Continuing his love of agriculture he then began working for S&D applications, retiring in the spring of 2014. Haldon was a member of Kansas United Methodist Church. He loved wood working, his dog-Kizzy, winter vacations, gardening and most of all his family, friends and life. Haldon married Sandra "Sandy" Albright on February 10, 1962 at the Methodist Church in Kansas. She survives him. Haldon is also survived by children, Traci (Kris) Dunn of Bloomville and Becky (Rex) Wright of Fostoria; grandchildren, Kaila (Ryan) Christoff, Garrett Dunn, Shaw Wright and Jesse Wright; step-granddaughter, Andrea (Chris) Payne; and brother, Duane (Carolyn) Copsey. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Abe Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the Kansas Cemetery. The family requests all consider wearing casual attire. Donations may be made to the Kansas United Methodist Church or Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Haldon's memory.
