Ralph Kinsey, 90, of Fremont, died early Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Elmwood Assisted Living of Fremont. He was born on December 3, 1923 to Edison and Mildred (Daily) Kinsey in Wayne, OH. Ralph graduated from Montgomery High School in 1942 before serving in WWII as a Marine. He worked at Whirlpool as a maintenance foreman / electrician for many years, retiring in 1984. Ralph was a member of the local Marine Corps League , the VFW, the American Legion, and Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and going to auctions and flea markets. In his free time, he would restore furniture and enjoyed his milkshakes with his family. Ralph married Mary Lou Rogers on June 5, 1948 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clyde. They shared 60 beautiful years together before she preceded him in death in 2008. Ralph is survived by children, Gregg Kinsey of Clyde, Connie (Tom) Haaser and Pam (Earl) Bargerstock of Fremont; grandchildren, Dawn Jeffers, Molly Kinsey, Rex & Jay Kinsey, Kim (Jim) Sayre, Karen Curtis, Chad (Justine Oprie) Kinsey, and Marc Bargerstock; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edison Paul Kinsey. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Grace Lutheran Church on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Certified Celebrant Maureen Pump officiating with one hour of visitation prior to at the church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Services provided by the American Legion/VFW. Donations may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital or Grace Lutheran Church in memory of Ralph.
