Jose Guillermo Almaguer, 69 of Clyde passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on July 3, 1945 in Villagran Tamaulipas, Mexico. Naturalize Citizen to Guillermo & Juanita (Serna) Almaguer He retired from Ford Motor Company after working there for 34 years. Jose also retired from the military after serving 23 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Clyde Moose. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fremont. Jose enjoyed playing golf, bingo, singing karaoke and riding his Harley Davidson. Jose is survived by his children; Sam Galindo, Anneliese (Bennie) Holland, Jose Almaguer Jr., Sadie Almaguer, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Ramiro (Anita) Almaguer, Robert (Dee) Almaguer, Hilda (James) Palomo, Estella (Henry) Garza, Lucy (Vince) Martinez, Roy (Rosie) Almaguer, John (Mary) Almaguer, Emma Hines and Noe Almaguer and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-4 & 6-8 PM where the rosary will be said that evening. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:30 AM with one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion and the VFW. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the American Heart Assoc. in Jose's memory.
