Carolynne J. Binder, 69, of Gibsonburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs. She was born on February 16, 1945 to Myron and Nina (Spayd) McCollister in Fremont. Carolynne graduated from Fremont Ross High School. She loved being a cook at Bethesda Care Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitch and cooking. Spending time with her family brought her great joy. She also attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Carolynne married Joseph Binder III in 1963, but they later divorced. He survives her in Gibsonburg. Carolynne is also survived by children, Robert "Bobby" Binder and Amy (Shon) Lawless all of Gibsonburg, and Robin (Doug) Long of Fostoria; siblings, Sam (Peg) McCollister of Conneaut, OH, Sandra Hoffman of Graytown, OH, and Robert McCollistor of Fremont; Sister-in-Law Carol McGowan of Fremont; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Yolanda Welch. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Orr officiate. Burial will follow at Elliston Cemetery in Graytown. Donations may be made to Bethesda Care Center or Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Carolynne's memory.
