Howard A. Koebel, 90, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 9, 2014 at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont, OH. He was born to Howard A and Lucy (Shawl) Koebel, Sr on October 20, 1924. He married Patricia Forsythe on June 24, 1944 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fremont, she survives, along with children, Garrett (Julie) Koebel, Colorado, Randall (Judith) Koebel, Fremont, Rick (Madeline) Koebel, Colorado and Kelly (Chris) Jones, Fremont; grandchildren, Patricia (James) VanDyke, Jamie (Gary) Snavely, Melissa Koebel and Lauren Koebel; great grandchildren, Clay, Skylar, Sienna, Cody and Miles; sister, Mary Keyes, Fremont; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and Willis Koebel and grandson, Randall Koebel. Howard owned and operated Koebel's Market until he retired in 1992. A gathering to share memories of Howard will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Herman-Kinn Funeral Homes & Cremation Services from 1 until 3, with a short tribute to begin at 3, luncheon at the VFW to follow. Memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or the donor's choice in Howard's name.
