Former Helena resident, Leslie J. (Hovis) Lewis, 40, passed away, unexpectedly, in her sleep on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. Born in Fremont on Mar. 16, 1974, Leslie is the youngest daughter of Ronald Hovis and Judith Callihan. She graduated from Lakota High School in 1992 and attended courses at Heidelberg College in Tiffin. She was currently a home health care provider but was also a licensed realtor and formerly worked as a manicurist. Leslie loved her children and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also hobbied with home decorating. Leslie is survived by her parents; children Samuel, Brett and Emilee Lewis; siblings Todd (Jennifer) Hovis, Jody (Ronnie) Clark and Holly (Bart) Tyson; grandmother, Helen Copsey; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Frank and Betty Hovis and Jack Callihan. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Timothy Wisehart will officiate Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery, Scott Township . Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald J. Hovis for the "Benefit of Leslie's Children."
