Helena resident, Kenneth Richard Hammer, 53, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was born on August 10, 1961 in Toledo, and raised by his parents Charles R. and Shirley A. (Schreiner) Hammer. Kenny was a 1979 graduate of Lakota High School. He enjoyed camping, grilling, working on his truck, and wood cutting. Kenneth was a fan of John Deere, Mopar and jelly beans. He has worked at IAC, Fremont for 31 years as a mold process tech and was also a customer service associate at Lowe's in Tools & Hardware. On October 27, 1984, Ken married Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Bouillon in St. Boniface Church, New Riegel; she survives him. Together they had 3 children, Lucas Hammer of Helena, Corrine (Ian) Willinger of Perrysburg, and Daniel Hammer of Helena. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley of Burgoon; siblings, Jeff (Ling) Hammer of Helena, Patti Kreilick of Gibsonburg, Don (Debbie) Hammer of Burgoon, Kim (Kevin) Mowry of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; and brother, Danny Hammer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 1-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Millersville beginning at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Ted Miller will officiate and burial will follow at St. Mary's, Millersville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice Care of Tiffin or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Millersville.
