Former Fremont resident, Jessie A. Pasch, 93, most recently of Willard, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Willard. She was born on November 16, 1921 to Jesse and Louisa (Butler) Shilling in Fremont, OH. Jessie was a 1939 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She worked in the receiving department at Montgomery Wards. Jessie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fremont, taught Sunday School for 10 years, member of its Rachel Circle and Sewing Ladies of Church, Fremont C.U.R.E., Community Crusaders, and frequently volunteered at Parkview Care Center, Fremont. Jessie married her high school sweetheart, Warren C. Pasch, on December 15, 1941 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fremont. Together, they enjoyed watching their granddaughters' sporting events and wintering in Florida. Warren preceded her in death on September 11, 1995. Together, they had one daughter, Cheryl (Ned) Peddicord of Willard; she survives. Her family was the love of her life. She enjoyed taking day trips with her daughter and son-in-law. She also loved spending time and getting special hugs from her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Jessie is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Alisa Weiss and Lora (David) Wiers all of Willard; great-grandchildren, Kaiten, Cole, and Leah Weiss and Copper, Carson, and Camryn Wiers. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and caring neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; her parents; and sisters, Gladys Aldrich and Dorothy Held. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont with funeral services Saturday, February 21, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Joseph Lees will be officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Building Fund or Sandusky County Humane Society.
