Myrtle Louise (James) Yoder, 86, of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont. She was born on December 6, 1928 to Allen W. and Wilda (Horn) James in Inez, KY. Myrtle attended Risingsun High School. She enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling, and family get-togethers with her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. On September 14, 1946, Myrtle married Dale C. Yoder in Inez, KY; he died May 3, 1993. Together, they had two children; James E. (Jeanne Mowry) Yoder of Tiffin and Martie L. (Richard) Ayres of Fremont. Myrtle is also survived by sisters-in-law, Sarah James of Bradner, Leone James of KS, Martha Lee Sahs of Austin, TX, Rosalind Turner of Newberg, OR; brother-in-law, Edward Crawfoot of FL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Anna Burkett, Susie Cassady and Jean Parsons; and brothers, Jim, John and Jack James. Funeral Services will be Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, 11:30 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.. Pastors Bob Young and Jonathan Edwards will officiate. Private burial will be at Scott Trinity Cemetery, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Operation Smile or to Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont.
