Dennis O'Brien**

October 9, 1951 — February 24, 2015

Dennis "Denny" O'Brien, 63, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born in Elyria on October 9, 1951. Denny was a son of Keith D. and Audrey (Hearne) Queen. Denny was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Vanguard Vocational School for auto mechanics. He was working for Culligan Water Conditioning, Fremont for 45 1/2 years as the Operations Manager, and so looking forward to retiring in April. Denny was an avid fisherman, having fished in Canada with his best buds Gary and Jerry, also in Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, Mexico. Denny quite often claimed to have caught the biggest or most fish, but now we are sure he is catching the "big one" in heaven! He also bowled and golfed on leagues in Fremont. Denny always enjoyed playing games with family and friends; and he was especially good at trivia, always questioning someone about something. Denny was a music enthusiast; enjoying the tunes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Journey, Chicago, Moody Blues, Dan Fogelberg, and Celine Dion. Ultimately, his family was his greatest love and joy of his life. On November 18, 1972, Denny married Christie "Chris" Martin at Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont; she survives. Together, they had 2 sons; Eric M. (Amy) O'Brien and Reid A. (Amanda) O'Brien of Fremont. Denny is also survived by Eric's children, Gavin, Merynn, and Karys O'Brien; Reid's children, Quentin and Forrest O'Brien; brothers, Robert (Sue) Queen and Scott (Michelle) Queen all of Plant City, FL; aunt, June Lunter of Elyria; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, 11:00 a.m. Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital or Back to the Wild, Castalia
