Esther E Seibert

Esther E. Seibert, 96, of Fremont, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont. She was born on April 26, 1918 in rural Gibsonburg to Clarence J. and Mada (Taulker) Avers. On June 21, 1940, Esther married Homer W. Seibert at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rice Township. Homer passed on July 23, 2005. Esther was involved with several organizations, including; secretary at Gibsonburg High School; Green Meadows Farm working with her husband Homer on the family homestead; Johnson's Greenhouse; Sandusky County Commissioners Office; and retired as a Deputy Auditor for the Sandusky County Court House where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont and it's Women's Organization. Esther was also a member of the Buckaroo Farm Council. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on business trips throughout the United States. On her 80th birthday she visited the homeland of Germany. Esther is survived by sons, William (Ruth) Seibert and Henry (Becky) Seibert, both of Fremont; brother, Leroy Avers of Florida, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings; Arnold and Willis Avers and Wilma Widman, Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont where the family will welcome friends beginning at noon. Rev. Bob Young will officiate. Burial will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
